Taman Negara is Malaysia's largest national park, it is also home to Gunung Tahan, the highest point in Peninsular Malaysia. Join us and take a boat ride along the meandering, 69km long Tembeling river... "shoot the rapids", visit an observation jungle hide to catch nocturnal mammals at the saltlicks, walk the world’s longest canopy walkway (450m), hike to the 344m high Bukit Teresek and get dirty crawling through the Gua Telinga (Ear Cave)! Or simply lay back, relax, go fishing perhaps and just enjoy the peace and the experience of being so close to Nature.

An express eco-tour, compacted into four fun-filled days! It will be an eventful weekend, spent in one of the world’s oldest rainforest, which is also sanctuary to hundreds of species of birds, butterflies, insects and plants.

CUSTOMIZED PAHANG:

We also run trips that include cliff abseil and rock climbing, as well as a caving adventure in the age old limestone caves of Gua Kota Gelanggi. Visit the fruit plantations of Tekam Plantation Resort and try a little bamboo rafting and perhaps a spot of flying fox! As these trips are custom made and tailored to the group size and requirements of your travel companions, it's best to visit us to find out the details. Min group size of 20 and above.

This is the highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia. It is located inside Taman Negara on the Pahang-Kelantan border. The trail to the summit would require you to trek through lowland primary jungle and make several river crossings before arriving at the mountain plateau. Much folklore surrounds this mountain, its name literally means "forbidden mountain". As legend has it, the summit of Gunung Tahan is guarded by a giant monkey, who sits there watching over two pots of magic stones: "ibu emas" & "ibu perak". These stones have the magical ability to change anything that comes into contact with them, into gold & silver respectively.

Tahan is a tough climb, camping in tents all the way and being subject to the humid conditions and erratic weather changes of Malaysia's rainforests. But it is a great challenge to all! Our packages come either self-supported or on a full board basis, make an appointment with us to find out more you can set out to conquer the highest point in Peninsular Malaysia.
