Go up north to Kelantan and spend a weekend at the ever-popular Stong Waterfalls; make a trip to the Gua Ikan caves and visit the Krai town. Sweat it out hiking (2hrs) from Stong Resort, crossing the waterfall route (with safety chain links) to Jelawang camp (1000ft) where campers camp out in the wild. You could visit the upper waterfalls to dip your toes in the cool waters and have a well-deserved swim, or you could just laze around and enjoy the natural "Jacuzzi" effect of the falls |

Your adventure begins after your
arrival at the timber town of Gua Musang (Pahang/ Kelantan border); from
there, you travel by off-road vehicles to Kuala Betis, the usual
Put-In-Point. Here you `board’ the inflatable rafts for some whitewater
actions. You raft along the 53km of the little known Nenggiri River that
flows from the backcountry of Kelantan. En-route you stop to visit GUA CHA
Archaeological Site with its mysterious cave and imposing limestone. You
spend a night camping in a jungle environment and here you will be lulled
to sleep by the ever-present cacophony of the sounds of insects, frogs,
birds and an occasional hooting of monkeys. The river trip ends at Kampong
SETAR from when you return by land to Gua Musang, the end of the river
journey and adventure to remember. In the evening you board the night
express train to return to Singapore.
This package includes the return travel to Gua Musang, Kelantan by the Night Express Train, all necessary overland transfers, all meals while on the river, tents, river guides and an adventure to be remembered. Excludes: Personal camping gears, e.g. sleeping mats, bags, personal expenses and tips. |
